Phil gets a new start and a new job

Philip was unemployed and homeless. He enrolled to complete a CSCS card and from this secured employment to ‘get back on his feet.’

Philip was unemployed and homeless; he enrolled because he believed that if he could get a CSCS card and secure employment he could "get back on his feet" and look for accommodation.

On the programme Philip worked really hard, had 100% attendance and scored excellent marks on his tests. He came back to complete additional trade skills training and we worked with him to secure interviews for employment, together with support on building his CV and interview techniques.

The employer interview Philip and said that, while Philip was a suitable candidate they required an Asbestos Awareness certificate.

Flower Skills arranged certificated Asbestos Awareness training for Philip and other candidates and helped him updatd his CV,

Philip got the job and now shares accommodation with a friend while saving up for his own place. Philip is now looking at getting professional construction qualifications to help enhance his prospects of a better paid job and future career.
